Chapter Committee
Sydney HOG Chapter Committee has formed with the single purpose of serving its members. We welcome opinions and contributions and encourage members and visitors to get involved with the Chapter beyond the ride.
Fred Madderom
Director
Fred had various bikes in his teens and 20s. He currently rides a 2004 white Heritage Softail Classic or 2009 white Road King Classic.
When not riding Fred is the Creative Principal of On Communications and the Director and Creative Director of Would You Buy It.
Michael Chesworth
Assistant Director/ActivitiesOfficer
Michael started riding at 17, with a 10-year break during his 30's after throwing a Yamaha 750 under a car on the South Coast. His wife bought him his first Harley, a 1200 Sportster Custom, as a Father's Day present six years ago.
Michael currently rides a 1994 Fat Boy and has been a HOG member for the past 5 years.
Michael has a marketing/communications background covering both the public and private sectors.
Bob (Monster Bob) Astill
Secretary
Bob has been riding since his teens on all sorts of bikes. But 2007 he purchased a 07 Road King Classic and found out what all the harley hype was about. He rides every chance he gets, loves the long trips.
Bobs motto is 1 life so live it.
When not riding he specialises in corporate office, commercial building and residential fitouts.
Diane Fagen
Treasurer
Previously a Blacktown HOG Chapter member, Diane is keen to get her own bike and is currently working on doing just that. Diane is a mother of 3 and a Grandmother of 4.
In her past life she was a foundation member and former treasurer of the WA Rock and Roll association.
John Holsinger
Safety Officer
Riding since the 70's and now on his 3rd Harley since 1995 John has both on-road and off-road riding experience.
Originally from the USA, John lived for 28 years in Hong Kong working in the sporting goods industry.
Currently Director for Asia Pacific for the International Health Racquet and Sports Club Association. John also holds a private pilots license.
Paulette McIver
Ladies of Harley
Paulette started riding as a teenager and in the late 60's rode across to Perth, when it was mainly dirt, then up to Darwin through the centre for an adventure. She was made to sell her bike when she married but in a mid life crisis had to have a HARLEY.
Paulette has been riding again since 2002 and now rides 07 Softail Deluxe and still likes the overnight adventures.
Andy Draper

Andy bought his first Harley in '99 for $950 from a mate's back garden as a quick way of making a profit. After fixing it up, once around the block was all it took and he was hooked - he is still riding that '89 XLH and also has a '96 FLHR for longer trips.
When he's not riding he is a high school physics teacher and gym instructor.
Gary Betts

Gary’s been riding off-road and on-road bikes since his teens. His first Harley was a 2007 Softail Deluxe and now rides a 2009 Road King Classic.
When Gary is not riding he manages his own IT business.
Olaf Moon

Olaf began riding motorcycles in 1970, his first Harley-Davidson was a Sporster XL883L, Olaf’s current bike is a Softail Heritage.
Olaf’s passion is long distance motorcycling and he has been known to ride over 2500 km’s on a weekend just to bag another set of points or his ABC’s of Touring. He carries his camera almost everywhere and his photographs often appear in the Newsletter and more recently on this website.
Tony ( Fat Tony ) Ciancio

Tony has been riding for 27 years and has had an assortment of motorbikes over that time. But his favourite is his current pride and joy, a 2007 Softail Fatboy.
When Tony is not riding you can find him on either HD and Tattoo forums or working as a Business System Analyst.
Russell Brown
Historian
Russell was a keen motorcycle rider in his younger years and has been a Harley rider for last 5 years. He rides a 2003, always clean, much loved, Softail Duece.
When he's not riding, he is a Director of the Australia subsidiary of an international healthcare company.
